Aluminum foam is a new type of strategic functional structural material, which reflects the new trend of interpenetration between structural materials and functional materials. Aluminum foam has been widely used in transportation, military industry, industrial materials, construction industry and other industries. Therefore, it has become a strategic frontier hot material in the 21st century that the United States, Britain, Japan, Germany and China are competing to study.
The process of preparing closed-cell aluminum foam by blowing and foaming is actually a complex two-phase flow process in the stirring flow field. The gas-liquid two-phase strongly propagated turbulent flow process in the foaming pool caused by the inclined shaft and the inclined blade is analyzed by using the computational fluid dynamics method.
Aluminium Foam Features:
1. Light weight: 0.1-0.4 times the density of aluminum.
2. High specific stiffness: its bending stiffness is 1.5 times that of steel.
3. High damping performance and impact energy absorption rate: the damping performance is 5-10 times of the metal aluminum.
When 50% deformation occurs to aluminum foam with a porosity of 84%, it can absorb more than 2.5mj /m3 of energy.
4. Good acoustic function:
(1) sound insulation performance (obturator) : when the acoustic frequency is between 800-4000hz, the sound insulation coefficient of aluminum foam in the obturator reaches above 0.9.
(2) sound absorption performance (micro-through-hole and through-hole) : when the acoustic frequency is between 125-4000hz, the maximum sound absorption coefficient of through-hole aluminum foam can reach 0.8, and its octave average sound absorption coefficient exceeds 0.4.
5. Excellent electromagnetic shielding performance: when the electromagnetic wave frequency is between 2.6-18ghz, the electromagnetic shielding amount of aluminum foam can reach 60-90db.
6. Good thermal performance: a closed-cell foam with a porosity of 80-90%, equivalent to marble.The through-hole aluminum foam has good heat dissipation under the condition of forced convection because its holes are connected with each other.
7. No combustion and good heat resistance, Corrosion resistance, good weather resistance, low moisture absorption, non-aging, non-toxic.
8. Easy processing: convenient for cutting, drilling and cementing;
Can be molded into the desired shape;
Can use organic or inorganic paint for surface treatment;
Can be skinned on both sides, forming a large size of light, high stiffness plate.
9. Easy installation: aluminum foam material can be installed high without mechanical lifting equipment, such as: ceiling, walls and roofs, can be mechanical method or directly with screws connected and fixed, can also be used to paste on the wall or ceiling.
10. "sandwich" structure formed by metal sheet -- aluminum foam -- inherits the excellent performance of aluminum foam and has high bending strength, which can be used as new building materials and high-stiffness structural parts of locomotive and vehicle.
