2024 aluminum sheet is a kind of high-strength hard aluminum, which belongs to the Al-Cu-Mg series aluminum alloy. 2024 aluminum sheet is mainly used for making various high-load parts and components.
Main features and application range: aluminum 2024 T4 is a high-strength hard aluminum, which can be strengthened by heat treatment. It has medium plasticity in the quenched and just-quenched state, good spot welding, and there is a tendency to form intergranular cracks when using gas welding. After cold working and hardening, the machinability is good, and after annealing, the machinability is low: the corrosion resistance is not high.
Anodizing and painting methods are often used or the surface is covered with an aluminum layer to improve its corrosion resistance. Uses are mainly used to make various high-load parts and components (but not stampings and forgings) such as skeleton parts, skins, bulkheads, bulkheads, ribs, spars, rivets and other working parts below 150 ° C on aircraft.
